I received a Bachelor of Science from UGA in 1972, then graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. I then moved to Augusta in Feb. 1977 to join the staff at Aidmore Animal Clinic. I became co-owner in 1980, and full owner in 1985. I began practicing at Care More in Feb 1998. My main interests are in small animal medicine and surgery. However orthopedics, dentistry, and exotics are my favorite interests. My family includes wife (Karen), two children (Stephanie and Robby), and my two wonderful Grandchildren Lilah and Wyatt (Stephanie's) . At this present time, I have 2 Jack Russell Mixes, a Labrador Retriever Mix, 2 Hound Mixes, and a Golden Retriever. I also have several horses, goats, and a miniature donkey as well. I am also a black belt in TaeKwonDo which I am very proud of.
I started working at Care More full time since August 2016. I have been around since Care More opened with my father, Dr. Gross. Some of my favorite interests are radiography and sonography. I have been married to my husband, Devan, since May 2015 and we have twins Wyatt and Lilah who were born in October 2019. I have four dogs, two English Bulldogs (Bear and Kirby) and two Labradoodles (Oakley and Tate). I also have several horses and chickens as well. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and camping. I am also currently in school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
I started working in the veterinary industry in 1999. I used to think that made me experienced, but after seeing all of these new adorable young kids coming through, I realize I’m just old. However, I truly can’t imagine doing anything else with my life. Veterinary Medicine is in my blood and it is not only what I do, but who I am. I love my job!! I am the mother of two amazing sons whom I love with all my heart. I have four dogs and 1 cat at home. The dogs are a black Labrador Retriever named Duke, a Pitbull mix named Howie (after Howard's Rock), a bulldog named Ledger, and a 9-year-old Shiba Inu named Taka. Taka is a dog I recently rescued after being burned in a house fire.
Go Tigers!!

Hello Care More family! My name is Jade, I’m a Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Medicine has been my game for the past 10 wonderful years, with my favorite side kick and partner in crime, Tigger! I started my career in a large 20+ doctor practice in New Orleans, LA (with Tigger in tow) in 2010 as a Veterinary assistant, earning certifications for both Veterinary Assistant and Dog training/behavior from Animal Behavior College in 2011. After a two years in New Orleans, working my way up to a Veterinary Technician position in 2012, I returned home, to the beautiful and ever always on my mind Georgia! After 6 years in an emergency/general practice, I’m proud to be a member of the Care More team since July 2020! My professional passions include animal behavior, client education, intensive care, and large breed working dogs. In my free time you can find me with my wonderful husband, Dallas and my 10 year old daughter Madison Sage, my two dogs Luna and Tigger, and of course the cats, Dave and Mr. Meow Meow! I absolutely love my career field and all the joys and challenges it brings daily! No two days are ever the same and I’m thankful to be apart of such a dedicated team of professionals in our community! I’m so excited to meet you and all your precious pets! See you at your next appointment!
